Two Projects Recognized at AIA Columbus Design Awards
Two of our projects were recognized at the 2025 AIA Columbus Architecture Awards, highlighting the impact thoughtful design can have on learning environments and community spaces across central Ohio.
Global Impact STEM Academy earned an Honor Award for its Upper Academy expansion in Springfield. The project strengthens the school’s mission by creating a connected network of labs, maker spaces, greenhouse functions and flexible classrooms that support inquiry-based learning. Clear circulation, durable materials and daylight-driven planning help students and educators move easily between hands-on work, collaboration and independent study. The jury cited the project’s focus and the way its design advances the Academy’s educational momentum.
High Bank Westerville received a Merit Award for its adaptive reuse of a 1920s post office into a destination for dining, distilling and community gathering. The design preserves the historic character of the building while opening the interior to new programs, outdoor connectivity and a more vibrant guest experience. Original masonry and restored details sit alongside contemporary insertions that define the bar, dining areas and event space. The result is a setting that supports both everyday activity and special occasions while reactivating a familiar landmark.
We’re grateful to our clients and partners for their trust and collaboration. These awards recognize the shared commitment behind each project and the role design can play in strengthening both education and community life.
