Our design team created a versatile 20,800-square-foot environment that balances the energy of shared workspaces with the privacy needed for focused productivity. The spatial strategy organizes the facility into distinct yet connected zones, allowing users to move seamlessly between collaborative and independent work modes throughout their day.

The heart of the design features open coworking areas furnished with adaptable elements that support various work styles and team configurations. Surrounding this collaborative core are private offices and meeting spaces that provide acoustic separation while maintaining visual connection to the broader community. Specialty spaces — including a professional-grade podcasting studio and immersive sports simulator room — offer unique amenities that differentiate the facility from traditional office environments while supporting diverse business needs.

Material selections and design details throughout the space reflect both the innovation-focused mission and the distinctive character of New Albany. Strategic placement of technology infrastructure ensures that digital collaboration tools are accessible throughout the facility, supporting hybrid work patterns that have become essential in today's business landscape.

Working in close collaboration with Brick House Blue and the City of New Albany, our team designed spaces specifically configured to support programming elements central to the innovation ecosystem. Flexible event areas accommodate TIGER Talks and workshops, while dedicated consultation spaces enable Expert Office Hours with Rev1 Ventures and other business development resources. These programmatic elements are physically integrated into the facility, making business support services a visible and accessible part of the everyday experience.

Now open and operating, Brick House Blue at Innovate New Albany has become a vibrant catalyst for economic development within the New Albany International Business Park. The facility has successfully attracted a diverse community of users, creating a dynamic environment where cross-pollination of ideas occurs naturally through daily interactions.

The completed project represents a new model for suburban innovation districts, demonstrating how thoughtful design can transform traditional business parks into interactive communities that support contemporary work patterns.
